Magnificent old Moroccan Berber pottery Handcrafted in the Moroccan Rif mountains (in the north of the country) This vintage pottery is an old inkwell. It is made from local clay specific to the region, by women who perpetuate ancestral traditions. The patterns are drawn using a goat hair brush using natural pigments: manganese for the black and iron oxide for the red. Geometric or floral patterns are traditional to Rif pottery This pottery is an unglazed raw ceramic. Each pottery is unique Dimensions Height 18cm Width 20cm These decorative pottery being from traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, imperfections and irregularities are likely to be present, which gives all the charm to this traditional object.
